Position: Curriculum and Instruction Coach

Job Overview:
The Curriculum and Instruction Coach will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of innovative curriculum strategies and instructional practices. This position requires a deep understanding of curriculum development principles, instructional design methodologies, and the ability to provide guidance and support to educators. The Curriculum and Instruction Coach will collaborate closely with the Curriculum Development Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Curriculum Development Manager to design, develop, and refine curriculum materials, instructional resources, and assessment tools.
2. Provide ongoing support and professional development to teachers and instructional staff in implementing curriculum standards and best practices.
3. Conduct regular classroom observations to assess instructional effectiveness and provide constructive feedback to educators.
4. Analyze data from assessments and identify areas for improvement in curriculum design and instructional strategies.
5. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance teachers' understanding of curriculum content, pedagogy, and differentiation techniques.
6. Support the development and implementation of curriculum-related initiatives, including curriculum mapping, alignment, and integration of technology.
7. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to identify and address curriculum-related challenges and opportunities.
8. Stay up-to-date with educational research, emerging trends, and best practices in curriculum development and instructional coaching.
9. Participate in curriculum planning meetings and offer input on curriculum modifications based on feedback and evaluation results.
10. Maintain accurate records of coaching activities, observations, and professional development sessions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional coaching, preferably in an educational institution.
3. In-depth knowledge of curriculum design principles, assessment strategies, and instructional methodologies.
4. Strong understanding of educational standards, including Common Core State Standards or other relevant frameworks.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders.
6. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use it to inform curriculum decisions and instructional practices.
7. Proficient in using technology tools and software related to curriculum development and instruction.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
9. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
10. Continuous learner with a commitment to professional growth and staying current with educational trends and research.
